London Carpentry & Joinery Workshop

Some examples of previous projects made in my workshop in London for domestic and commercial clients.

The Nelson’s Project

Box Sash Window Overhaul and Repair

The sliding box sash window is ubiquitous in Georgian and Victorian period London town houses. Some are centuries old so they need some TLC from time to time. I offer a full sash window overhaul and repair service including draft proofing, cord and weight adjustment, joinery repairs and splices, glazing, ironmongery and lock fitting. (I do doors too!)

Skaramangas Refugee Camp, Athens.

For several  years I was involved in construction and infrastructure projects in refugee camps in Greece. In Skaramangas camp I worked with a team of camp residents and international volunteers to build a community centre and distribution "shop".

Island School of Building Arts, British Colombia, Canada.

At ISBA I studied under a Canadian master carpenter to learn traditional "hammer bents" timber framing methods. The centre line layout technique used allows for millimetre precision across large spans, even with twisted and bowed timbers!
